Feature Friday – Tom Hulon

Salesman and former corrections officer Tom Hulon helps customers make sensible decisions regarding their equipment purchases. Tom loves to interact with his customers and becoming their first call when they need something. When not helping customers, Tom is active in his church and music ministry. Tom also likes to golf, fish and lift weights.

Russell Moorman is one of two salesmen located out of our Liberty store. As a salesman, Russell is in charge of selling a wide variety of John Deere Equipment while representing Shoppa’s at local events like Trinity Valley Expo and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Russell loves to talk with customers and visit with them about equipment, ranching, and hunting. Though only working for Shoppa’s for 3 1/2 years, Russell enjoys talking to customers and matching them to the right piece of equipment, that makes them proud John Deere owners. Russell was a bull rider for 15 years, but now he chases kids and cows.

If you have ever visited our El Campo store, you have probably seen or met Derrick Page. Derrick is one of our small ag salesmen helping customers find the best tool for their job. One thing Derrick loves about his job is the ability to meet new people every day and how not one day is the same. Today, he could be selling a lawn mower, tomorrow in a hay field. Growing up around agriculture, working cows and baling hay every summer gives Derrick the ability to help assist customers. Derrick still works cattle and bales hay when not working with customers. He also likes to spend time with his wife and cheer on his high school classmate, Cody Johnson with his music career.

Gerard Solano started working for Bank Equipment as a Field Service Technician 29 years ago. With his experience as a technician, Gerard has been able to serve customers and represent Shoppa’s as a salesman for the past five years. Gerard is a highly skilled individual that loves the environment of working with equipment and people. When not helping customers, Gerard is spending time with family, working on projects and enjoying the great outdoors.

Ronnie Namken works in Small Ag Sales for Shoppa’s in our Giddings location. He began working for Jaeger’s Equipment in sales just a few years before the change of ownership. Ronnie enjoys establishing and building relationships with his customers while using his product knowledge to assist them in purchasing equipment that fit their needs. His duties in Giddings also include keeping the equipment inventory up-to-date.  Ronnie’s background in agriculture gives him a perspective that is invaluable when helping current and potential customers. Away from the store, Ronnie raises crossbred cattle and show hogs and enjoys spending time with his family.

Title: Small Ag Sales Representative
Donnie Strieder has been the small ag salesman with Shoppas for six years. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University (he would throw a whoop in right here). Before coming to work for Shoppas, Donnie worked in equipment sales for over 30 years with Washington County Tractor, Virnau Tractor, and Sealy Tractor. Donnie says he enjoys his job because he gets to interact with customers. Part of that responsibility is knowing that they can call him at any time. In his spare time, Donnie also farms hay, raises cattle, and horses, in Sealy.
